Massage Therapist Job Description

A massage therapist is a person who is educated and trained to work specifically in the manipulation of muscles and other soft tissues of the body.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for Massage Therapist to provide professional and relaxing massages for our clients. You should be able to work flexible hours and have excellent customer service skills. Massage Therapist Duties:

• Provide massage therapy services
• Work in conjunction with and assist other healthcare team members
• Assist with administrative duties, including patient scheduling, billing, coding, answering telephones, and collecting payments

Massage Therapist Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled massages to clients, including hot stone, and prenatal massage
• Deliver massage services in accordance with written policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of treatments provided
• Assist with scheduling appointments and greeting clients
• Perform administrative duties as needed

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in massage therapy or related field
• 2+ years’ experience working in a wellness/spa setting
• Certified in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
• Demonstrated knowledge of therapeutic massage and bodywork, including medical massage, deep tissue
