A gardener is a person who cultivates and tends a garden.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Gardener to help us take care of our garden. We need someone who is experienced and knows how to take care of different types of plants.

Gardener Duties:

• Assists in the ongoing maintenance of the gardens and grounds
• Assist in the maintenance of all interior and exterior grounds, including landscaping
• Provide regular and scheduled maintenance of gardens, grounds, and picnic areas
• Maintain grounds, including cleaning and maintaining irrigation systems, trimming hedges, and removing snow
• Maintain lawns and planting areas
• Maintain, install, and prune trees and plants throughout the property
• Maintain all equipment and tools
• Maintain cleanliness of all interior and exterior grounds
• Maintain equipment, tools, and supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Gardener Responsibilities:

• Assist in diagnosing and treating sick plants
• Establish a healthy plant population through proper watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest control
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by collecting trash, oil, and other debris, and reporting unsafe conditions or violations
• Establish and maintain vegetation by planting, transplanting, and caring for plants
• Establish healthy soil conditions by amending soil, removing manure, and fertilizing
• Maintain large lawn areas by mowing, edging, and watering
• Maintain gardens by watering, weeding, fertilizing, and pruning
• Maintain trees by keeping them well-watered, trimming, and pruning as needed

Requirements And Skills:

• Proven experience in a landscaping or gardening role
• Proven ability to manipulate and maintain a wide range of equipment
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
• Strong working knowledge of operational procedures
